How do I download a video from Bilibili?
Copy the video link from Bilibili (Share → Copy link in the app, or the bilibili.com/video/BV… address on a computer), paste it into the Bilibili video downloader and press Get video. Choose an MP4 quality, usually 720p or 1080p, and press Download MP4. The file saves with sound included, with no app or login.
Bilibili has no download button on its website, and the app’s offline cache only plays inside the app. To keep a video as a normal MP4 file, you need its link and a downloader. This guide uses the free Bilibili video downloader on this site, which runs in any browser.
Step 1: copy the video link
- Bilibili app (phone or tablet): open the video, tap Share (the arrow icon) and choose Copy link. You get a
short
b23.tv/…link, often with the title in front of it. Copy all of it; the tool picks the link out. - Computer: copy the address from the browser bar. It looks like
https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1tghw6AEzv. - Multi-part video: the address ends in
?p=2,?p=3and so on. Keep that part to go straight to that episode.
Step 2: paste it and press Get video
Open the downloader, paste the link and press Get video. It shows the title, the uploader, the cover and every MP4 quality Bilibili offers for the video. If the video has several parts, a Part menu appears so you can switch between them.
Step 3: choose a quality and download
Each row is one MP4 file with the video and sound together:

If it doesn’t work
- “No public video at this link”: the video is deleted, private, for members only or blocked in your region.
- “Bilibili refused the download”: the download link expired. Press Get video again.
- Bangumi links (
bilibili.com/bangumi/play/…) are licensed anime and films and can’t be downloaded.

Where is the download button on Bilibili itself?
The Bilibili app can cache videos for offline viewing, but only inside the app, and only when the uploader allows it. The website has no download button. To get a normal MP4 file you can keep, move or edit, use a downloader.
Why can I only get 720p for some videos?
Bilibili serves the single-file MP4 that browsers can save at up to 720p for most videos, and 1080p for some. Higher qualities are delivered as separate video and sound tracks. BiliVideoDownloader.com joins those for you.
What is a BV number?
Every Bilibili video has an ID that starts with BV followed by 10 letters and digits, such as BV1tghw6AEzv. It appears in the video address. You can paste the BV ID on its own instead of the full link.
