How do I download a song from Suno?
If the song is yours, open it on suno.com, press the three-dot menu and choose Download, then MP3 Audio, WAV or Video. Since September 2026 this uses one of your plan’s downloads. For any public song, copy its share link and paste it into a free Suno downloader to save the MP3, MP4, cover art and lyrics.
There are three ways to get a Suno song onto your device. Which one you want depends on two things: whether you made the song, and what you plan to do with the file.
| Method | Works for | Formats | Uses a Suno download | Needs an account |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Suno website | Your own songs | MP3, WAV, MP4 video | Yes | Yes |
| Suno app | Your own songs | MP3, MP4 video | Yes | Yes |
| Xtools Suno downloader | Any public song | MP3, MP4, cover art, lyrics | No | No |
Method 1: Download from suno.com
This is the official route, and the only one that gives you the full-quality WAV file and the commercial rights that come with a paid plan.
- Sign in at suno.com and open Library, or open the song’s page.
- Press the three-dot menu (⋯) next to the song.
- Choose Download, then MP3 Audio, WAV Audio or Video.
- The file saves to your Downloads folder.
Since 3 September 2026 every download from Suno counts against a limit: a handful of lifetime trial downloads on a free account, 20 a month on Pro and 60 a month on Premier. Grabbing the MP3 and the WAV of the same song still counts as one. The Suno download limit guide explains the rules in full.
Method 2: Download in the Suno app
The iPhone and Android apps work the same way. Open the song, tap the three-dot menu, tap Download and pick a format. On iPhone the file goes to the Files app; on Android it goes to your Downloads folder. The step-by-step for each phone is in how to download Suno songs on iPhone and Android.
Method 3: Save any public song with a link
If the song belongs to someone else, or you just want a copy to listen to without spending a download, use the song’s share link:
- On Suno, press Share, then Copy link. Long links (
suno.com/song/…) and short links (suno.com/s/…) both work. - Paste it into the free Suno song downloader and press Find song.
- Save the MP3, the MP4 video, the full-size cover art or the lyrics as a text file.
The tool reads only what Suno already shows to everyone. The MP3 is made in your browser from the public MP4 (192 kbps), so nothing is uploaded and nothing touches your Suno account. You can paste up to 10 links at once.
What this method does not give you: the WAV master, stems, or any right to reuse the music. For a release, a video you will monetise, or a client project, download your own song from Suno on a paid plan.
Which method should you use?
- You made the song and want to release it: Method 1 on a paid plan, as WAV.
- You made the song and just want it on your phone: Method 1 or 2, or Method 3 if you would rather keep your monthly downloads for releases.
- Someone else made it and you want to listen offline: Method 3.
- You only need the lyrics or the artwork: Method 3. See how to get Suno lyrics and cover art.
If the download does not work
- “Could not load this link”: the song is private, deleted or still generating. Open the link in a private browser window; if it does not play there, it is not public.
- The file plays in a new tab instead of saving: long-press the button and choose Download link, or on iPhone use Share → Save to Files.
- No Download option on suno.com: it is not your song, or your account has used its downloads for now.
FAQ
Questions people ask
Can I download Suno songs for free?
Yes, in two ways. A free Suno account includes a small number of trial downloads for personal use. And any public song can be saved with a link-based downloader, which reads the public MP4 Suno already streams and needs no account.
Why is the Download button missing on Suno?
You only see Download on your own songs, and only while your account has downloads left. On other people’s songs, Suno shows Share instead. Copy that share link if you want to save a public song for listening.
Can I download a Suno song someone else made?
If the song is public, yes, for personal listening. Paste its link into a Suno downloader. You do not get any rights to the music by downloading it, so ask the creator before reusing it.
Does downloading the same song twice use two downloads?
No. Suno’s help centre says re-downloading a song you already downloaded does not count again, and taking several formats of the same song counts as one download.
Where do downloaded Suno songs go?
On a computer they land in your Downloads folder. On iPhone, Safari saves them to the Files app under Downloads. On Android they go to the Downloads folder or the Files app.
Try the Suno Song Downloader
Paste a Suno share link to download the song as MP3, M4A (original quality) or WAV, made in your browser, or as the MP4 video, plus full-size cover art and lyrics. Free, no sign-up, works on phone and desktop.
