Can I download Suno songs without paying?
Yes. A free Suno account includes up to 7 lifetime trial downloads for personal use. After that, any public Suno song can still be saved free with a link-based Suno AI downloader: paste the share link, then download MP3 (up to 320 kbps), WAV or M4A. No subscription, login or app. It gives you no commercial rights.
Since 3 September 2026, Suno’s free plan only lets you download up to 7 songs, ever. Pro gets 20 a month and Premier 60. If you just want Suno AI songs on your phone or laptop for listening, you do not need to pay for that.
The two free options
| Option | How many | Formats | Works for | Commercial use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Suno free plan | 7 trial downloads, lifetime | MP3, video | Your own songs | No |
| Xtools Suno AI downloader | No daily cap, 10 links per batch | MP3 (128–320 kbps), WAV, M4A, MP4, cover art, lyrics | Any public song | No |
The full plan-by-plan breakdown is in the Suno download limit guide.
How to download a Suno song free, step by step
- Copy the link. In the Suno app or on suno.com, open the song and tap Share → Copy link. Short links
(
suno.com/s/…) and full song links (suno.com/song/…) both work. - Paste it into the downloader. Open the free Suno song downloader, paste the link and press Find song. You can paste up to 10 links, one per line.
- Pick a format. MP3 320 kbps for your phone or car, WAV for editing, or ZIP for the song, cover art and lyrics together.
No account, no email, no app. It also never signs in to Suno, so it does not use your trial downloads.
What you give up compared with Pro
- Studio quality. Free downloads come from the compressed audio Suno streams publicly. Fine for listening; not a mastering source. More in Suno MP3 vs WAV vs MP4.
- Stems. Only Suno’s own download on a paid plan gives separate vocal and instrument tracks.
- Rights. Songs made on the free plan are for personal use only. To release music, you need to make it on Pro or Premier. See can you use Suno songs commercially?.
Spotting a bad free downloader
| Red flag | Why |
|---|---|
| Asks for your Suno login | It does not need it; your account is at risk |
| Wants you to install an app or extension | Extra access to your device or browser for no benefit |
| Puts a watermark or ad in the audio | You end up with a ruined file |
| Claims to download private songs | Private songs are private; it is either lying or doing something it should not |
Respect the creator
A free download is for listening. If you love a song, follow the creator on Suno and share the original link; that is what helps them most.
FAQ
Questions people ask
Is a free Suno AI downloader safe?
A web-based one is the safest kind: nothing is installed, no extension reads your browsing, and it never asks for your Suno password. Avoid any downloader that wants you to sign in with your Suno account or install an app.
Do I need to log in to Suno to download a song?
Not with a link-based downloader. It only needs the song’s public share link. Songs that need a login to play, such as private ones, cannot be downloaded this way.
Is a free download lower quality than Suno Pro?
Slightly. A link-based downloader works from the compressed audio Suno streams publicly, so its MP3 sounds the same as Suno’s player and its WAV is not a studio master. Pro and Premier downloads of your own songs give you Suno’s full-quality WAV and stems.
Can I upload a free-downloaded Suno song to Spotify or YouTube?
Not if it was made on the free plan. Suno only grants commercial use for songs made while subscribed to Pro or Premier, and downloading someone else’s song never gives you any rights.
Is there a Suno downloader extension?
You do not need one. A website does the same job on any phone or computer, without giving an extension access to your browser.
How many free Suno songs can I download?
Suno’s own free plan stops at 7 trial downloads. The Xtools downloader has no daily cap and lets you paste up to 10 song links at once.
Try the Suno AI Song Downloader
Paste a public Suno link to download the song as MP3 (up to 320 kbps, tagged with art and lyrics), WAV or master M4A, plus MP4 video, cover art, lyrics and ringtone clips. Free, no subscription or sign-up.
