How do I make a ringtone from a Suno song?

Paste the Suno song link into the free Xtools Suno downloader, open Ringtone or clip, press Quick 30s hook or set your own start and end, and export it as MP3. On Android, choose it under Settings, Sound, Ringtone. On iPhone, open the file in GarageBand and use Share, Ringtone.

A Suno AI song makes a great ringtone because nobody else has it. The trick is cutting the right 30 seconds and getting the file into the place your phone looks for ringtones. Both take about two minutes.

Step 1: Cut the ringtone

  1. In Suno, open the song and tap Share → Copy link.
  2. Paste the link into the free Suno AI downloader and press Find song.
  3. Open Ringtone or clip on the song card.
  4. Tap Quick 30s hook for a ready-made clip. Or type a start and end time (or use a preset such as 0:30–1:00), nudge them with −1s / +1s and press Preview Snippet.
  5. Press Export MP3. The file is named after the song so it is easy to find.

Short fades are added at both ends, so the ringtone never starts with a click.

Step 2: Set it on Android

Menu names change a little between brands, but the path is nearly always the same:

  1. Make sure the MP3 is in your Downloads folder (that is where the browser saves it).
  2. Open Settings → Sound & vibration → Phone ringtone.
  3. Tap +, Add ringtone or From internal storage, and pick the Suno file.

Using the Files by Google app? Open the MP3, tap ⋮ → Set as ringtone and allow it to modify system settings when asked.

To use it for one contact only, open the contact, tap Edit → Ringtone and choose the file there.

Step 3: Set it on iPhone

iPhone does not let you pick any audio file as a ringtone from Settings, so you go through Apple’s free GarageBand app:

  1. Save the MP3 from the downloader. Safari puts it in Files → Downloads.
  2. Open GarageBand, start an Audio Recorder project and tap the loop icon (top right).
  3. Choose Files → Browse items from the Files app, pick the Suno MP3 and drag it onto the track.
  4. Go back to My Songs, press and hold the project, then tap Share → Ringtone → Export.
  5. Tap Use sound as… → Standard Ringtone.

GarageBand caps ringtones at 30 seconds. If your clip is longer it offers to shorten it; cutting it to 30 seconds in step 1 keeps the part you chose.

Which part of the song works best

Part Why it works
The chorus or hook Instantly recognisable; Quick 30s hook aims for it
The intro Builds up gently, good for alarms
An instrumental break No vocals, so it is less jarring in quiet places
The drop Loud and punchy, easy to hear in a pocket

More you can do with the same song

The same card gives you the full song as MP3, WAV or MP4, plus the lyrics and cover art. If you want everything on your phone, the iPhone and Android download guide shows where each file ends up.

FAQ

Questions people ask

How long can a Suno ringtone be?

Keep it to 30 seconds. GarageBand for iPhone caps ringtones at 30 seconds, and most Android phones loop or cut long files anyway. The trimmer’s Quick 30s hook button gives you the right length in one tap.

Can I make a ringtone from someone else’s Suno song?

For your own phone, yes, if the song is public. A ringtone is personal use. Sharing or selling ringtones made from someone else’s song is not, so ask the creator first.

Should I save the ringtone as MP3 or WAV?

MP3. Phones read it everywhere and the file is tiny. WAV is only worth it if you plan to edit the clip further in an audio app.

Does the ringtone fade in and out?

Yes. The trimmer adds short fades at the start and end so the ringtone does not click or cut off abruptly.

Do I need a Suno account or app?

No. The downloader runs in your phone’s browser and works with any public Suno link. No login, no subscription and nothing to install.

Does making a ringtone use one of my Suno downloads?

No. The Xtools downloader never signs in to Suno, so your plan’s download allowance is untouched.
